Pianist Kaoru Iwamura has a deep-rooted passion for the fortepiano. She can be heard regularly in concert series and at fortepiano festivals, both as a soloist and in ensembles, in Europe and Asia. Kaoru plays classical piano repertoire as well as contemporary works composed for historic piano.
Alongside her regular concerts, Kaoru develops initiatives to make the fortepiano better known amongst the wider public. For example, in her family concert, Kaoru’s MagiPodium, she combines storytelling and music to introduce children and their parents to Mozart and his contemporaries. Kaoru lives and works in the Netherlands.
