On Dutch Castle Day, I gave a series of mini concerts at beautiful Loenersloot Castle.
We were blessed with wonderful weather, and it was a truly special day, with the beautiful castle shining amidst the lush green gardens.
Around 470 visitors came to enjoy the various activities, including events in the gardens, a visit to the neighbouring dairy farm, and tours of the castle. More than 200 people, from children to adults, attended the seven mini concerts in the Music Room and enjoyed the beautiful sound of the Broadwood fortepiano. Thank you all for coming!
Afterwards, Gijsbert from the organic farm gave us a fun quiz:
“How many hours do you think a cow sleeps each day?”
We guessed 8 hours… 16 hours?! But surprisingly, the correct answer is only about 20 minutes!
It seems cows may look very relaxed, but they are not actually sleeping!
I hope to see you all here again next year!
